1. Who can host a screening?
Anyone! To help you plan and host a screening, we've prepared some resources, which you can find here.

  2. How long is the film?
94 minutes. The one-hour version of the film, which aired on PBS in March, is now also available for educational and community screenings.

  3. Can I see the film before committing to hosting an event?
Yes. On our Bullfrog Educational page in the top right corner, you can select a "Preview DVD." Then select "Add to Cart" and hit "Check Out." The only charge is for shipping. There is also an option to preview the film online. Please contact Bullfrog for more details.

  4. Are special rates available?
Yes! The links listed on this page already include a 5% reduced rate – a special discount for the A Will for the Woods community. Additionally, Bullfrog invites activists and grassroots groups to inquire about special rates for the educational license. You can find their contact details on the Educational page

  5. I backed the A Will for the Woods Kickstarter campaign and have a community screening license. What do I need to do in order to plan a screening?
Your contribution entitles you to a screening license, so you are all set! If you have not received your screening kit yet, please contact us.

  6. Are high definition Blu-ray discs available?
Yes! You will have to contact Bullfrog to let them know that you would like the Blu-ray option. (Please note, the Blu-ray option may only be available for the Community license.) If you are playing on a large screen or projection and have the ability to play Blu-rays, we recommend this format. Please note: Blu-rays only play in Blu-ray players, and our Blu-rays do not have SDH Captions or a scene selection menu like our regular DVDs. There are English subtitles, however, which can be turned on with a Blu-ray remote control.

  7. Can I show the film in a regular cinema?
Yes! For this you would also use the Communities page or contact the filmmakers. While this is not always covered by a community license, we are very excited about you bringing A Will for the Woods to your local big screen! If you plan to show the film in a regular cinema, we do ask that you please contact us at [email protected] as we may be able to provide additional press and assistance with the cinema's format requirements.

  8. What is the "rental" period on the educational page?
This is an option for those interested in the educational license for a short term rental. You can rent the film for three days, and show it as many times as you like within that time. (As with all educational licenses, no admission can be charged.)

  9. Should I let you know once I have a screening planned?
We'd love to help promote these events, so please contact us at [email protected] with your screening details.

  10. Are the filmmakers available for Q&As and post-screening discussions?
We are available and would love to be a part of your event. If you are interested, please contact us at [email protected] so that we can discuss this with you further. While in-person appearances can be arranged, Skype, FaceTime, or other video screening conference programs have also been very successful.
